WKU Basketball Dominates UTEP 97-65 on Senior Day

WKU Hilltopper Basketball achieved a decisive 97-65 victory over UTEP on Senior Day at E.A. Diddle Arena. This win marks the team’s sixth straight victory and maintains their strong performance with a 32-point margin.

Three players scored over 20 points: Grant Newell with 25 points, Teagan Moore with 24 points, and LJ Hackman with 21 points. This is the first time since 2007 that three Hilltoppers scored 20-plus points in the same game. Additionally, Ryan Myers contributed 13 points off the bench, helping WKU secure the win and ensure they finish above .500 in Conference USA play for the first time since the 2021-22 season.

WKU shot a season-high 59.3% from the field and dominated several statistical categories, including points in the paint and points off turnovers. With this victory, the Hilltoppers improved their overall record to 18-11 and 11-7 in conference play. They have successfully closed their home schedule with a 12-4 record at Diddle Arena this season.

Two Trailers Stolen in Warren County

The Warren County Sheriff’s Office is investigating two thefts involving trailers.

Sheriff Brett Hightower reported that two trailers were stolen in northern Warren County. The thefts occurred between Friday and Saturday.

Anyone with information about the case should contact the Warren County Sheriff’s Office at 270-842-1633.
