A new initiative in Bowling Green is focused on helping older adults remain independent at home. BG Resource Connections Village, presented by Empowerment Group—Making A Difference, connects seniors with various resources.

This 'village' model aims to provide transportation options, caregiving support, and technology training. Volunteer support is also part of the approach to combat social isolation among seniors.

The program is virtual and operates as a community-based network, dubbed 'neighbors helping neighbors.' Organizers are gathering community input on what services are needed most for older adults as they advocate for their voices in future community planning.
